Our vegan Dietitian is available to help with the transition and/or improvement of plant-based diets at every stage of life. Whether you need guidance on introducing solid foods to plant-based babies (6 months and older), planning well-balanced meals and snacks for the whole family, or revising and recommending supplements for plant-based eaters, we have you covered. We can also provide support in correcting nutritional deficiencies such as iron deficiency, offer guidance on pregnancy and lactation nutrition for plant-based mothers, and assist in using plant-based nutrition to prevent and manage chronic diseases, achieve weight loss, and address gastrointestinal disorders. Additionally, our experienced Dietitian can help optimise your athletic performance through carefully planned plant-based diets.

I'm Monica, Vegan & Plant-Based Dietitian
With more than 8 years of clinical experience as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, I am proud to be the founder of Plant Based Family Nutrition. From infancy to adulthood, I am dedicated to helping individuals incorporate more plant-based foods into their diets. My true passion lies in motivating clients to embrace a wholesome and well-rounded approach to nutrition.
As an online vegan dietitian, I extend my services across Australia via Telehealth, making professional guidance easily accessible to individuals nationwide.
Our
CONSULTATIONS
1 / INITIAL CONSULTATION
During the initial consultation the plant-based dietitian establishes desired goals, food preferences, medical history, medications, and dietary intake. There are two types of consults, paediatrics and adults.
DURATION: 1hour
2 / REVIEW CONSULTATION
In follow-up consults, the dietitian will discuss your progress and provide support and recommendations to assist you to continue to achieve desired goals. You will have the opportunity to explore any challenges and ways around these.
DURATION: 30mins (extended as required)
3 / DIETARY ANALYSIS & MEAL PLANS
The dietitian will conduct a personalised nutrition assessment and dietary analysis. From this information, you will receive a customised meal plan specific to meet your desired goals.

How do I book an online appointment?To make an appointment, click the 'book' button under our services page. This will take you to our Online Booking Platform (Halaxy). When you book an appointment, you will be asked to provide your name, email and phone number. In addition, you will be asked to provide your payment details, although you will not be charged until your appointment has been completed. Once your booking has been made, you will receive a confirmation email. This will include your appointment details, along with your online booking link. Please save this link as you will need it on the day of your appointment. You will also receive a link to our 'Initial Intake Form.' We ask that you complete this quick and secure form at least 24 hours prior to your booking. The information collected in this form will enable us to make the best use of your appointment time. If you have any issues making an appointment online, or you're unable to find a time that is suitable, please be sure to send an email to plantbasedfamilynutrition@gmail.com

What are the consultation fees?Private Patients: Initial Consultation Adult: $180 AUD Initial Consultation Paediatric: $180 AUD Review Consultation Adult: $90AUD Review Consultation Paediatric: $90 AUD Nutritional Analysis & Meal Plans: Variable, discuss with Dietitian directly Upon booking, we will ask for your payment details. Your card will not be charged until after your appointment is completed. Your payment information will be stored in our database in a secure data encrypted location for the duration that you're a client with us. We accept payment via EFTPOS or Credit Card. Client security and confidentiality is at the core of to our Practitioner Software, Halaxy. Halaxy's payments gateway is powered by Braintree Paypal in Australia, who is one of the world's largest online payment providers. Do you offer rebates?Private Health: Depending on your level of private health cover you may be eligible. You'll be emailed a receipt that you can lodge with your health fund provider to access your claim. Medicare: You may be eligible for a medicare rebate for a maximum of five Allied Health Services per Calendar year. You'll be emailed a receipt that you can lodge with medicare to access your rebate. ​

Do you accept NDIS clients?Absolutely! We are very keen to support clients with a disability to eat well! Plant Based Family Nutrition is able to accept Self Managed and Plan Managed NDIS clients. We are currently unable to provide services to NDIA Agency Managed plans as we are not an NDIS registered provider. NDIS clients will be charged inline with the NDIS pricing guide, at a rate of $193.99 per hour. Billable hours may include face-to-face time, non face-to-face time such as preparation of reports, program planning, nutrition analysis and resource development. Dietitian consultation, meal planning and practical nutrition services are funded under the NDIS scheme. Funding category can be under: - Capacity Building: Improved Daily Living, or - Capacity Building: Improved Health and Wellbeing, or - Core: Assistance with Daily Life

Do I need a referral from my GP?No, you do not require a referral from your GP to see our Dietitian.

What conditions can you help me with?Plant-based eating across the lifespan, including: pregnancy, lactation, infancy and childhood Supplementation review and recommendation, particularly for plant-based eaters Gastrointestinal conditions (irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease) Chronic conditions (diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure)

What should I expect during my initial consultation?During your initial consultation, we will discuss in depth your (or your child's) health goals and understand a picture of your current health status, including a review of any relevant blood tests or scopes. We will then create an individualised plan to help you (or your child) meet desired goals.

What should I expect during my review consultation?Review consultations enable us to check in on your progress and enable time for ongoing education and support. Review consultations are generally 2-3 weeks after an initial consultation, with subsequent sessions every month until desired goals are met.

What is your cancellation policy?We ask that you to provide 24 hours notice to ensure that your spot can be offered to another client on our waitlist.

Do you only see clients who are vegan?Here at Plant Based Family Nutrition we are an inclusive space. We meet you wherever you're at on your journey! Whether you're vegan, or just simply looking to include more plant foods in your diet, we're here to help!
